Where Roses Grew ©2020 June 13, Erica H. Adams, Watercolor and Ink on Paper: 9 x 30 inches.
Worldwide demonstrations grew from a racist incident ignited the Minneapolis neighborhood where my brother had just moved.
Where roses (once) grew is animated by people not flowers: the garden is a metaphor for earthly paradise. One viewer saw people moving, running, hugging, sad and happy but wondered if it was her imagination. There and not there. I could not have planned it better.
